Fantasia, Kelly and Missy make a slick video

I haven't noticed this American Idol winner for a pretty long time. Don't know why, but I just heard of her recently. She sparked my interest after having another successful album even though she won Idol 9 years ago. Her first single from the latest album was ok, and that's just about it. But Without Me is a different story. For starters it features the amazing Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott. The song has such a cool beat, a beat that reminds me of good old R&B songs. Fantasia's voice goes perfectly with the beat, and so does Kelly's. Of course, Missy's verse just completes the whole song and puts a bow on it. The video shows Fantasia as some sort of an executive surrounded by guys who are in their places only because of Fantasia. Kelly can be seen filling out a familiar silhouette of one of the most famous truck stickers. The whole video is visually good and goes nicely with the song. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and see what other cool songs Fantasia has to offer.

Little mix make a colab with Missy Elliott on latest single

Girls from Little Mix are releasing their fourth single in a little more than a month. DNA's latest single is How Ya Doin' but it's not the album version, but the remix with Missy Elliott. I liked the song when I first heard it, I like it now, but I don't think Missy contributed much here. I am an absolute fan of Missy, and I am always happy when I hear a new song from her, but in my opinion this song could have done just fine without her. I sure hope Missy will release some good solo material soon, because I am a bit tired of seeing her only on remixes of other artist's songs.

Najnoviji singl sa albuma DNA je How Ya Doin', ali nece biti izdata verzija sa albuma, vec remiks sa Missy Elliott. Meni se pesma dopadala u originalnom izdanju i dopada mi se i remiks, ali mislim da Missy-in doprinos ovde nije bio veliki. Ja sam njen fan i uvek me obraduje neka nova pesma od nje, ali mislim da je ova pesma mogla da prodje i bez nje. Iskreno se nadam da ce Missy uskoro izdati neki solo materijal, jer mi je vec dosadno da je samo cujem na remiksima pesama drugih izvodjaca.

Ester Dean makes another superstar colab

 

One of the coolest songwriters, Ester Dean, has released a new song How You Love It. The Missy Elliott collaboration serves as a new "lead single" from Ester's first studio album Story Never Told. Ester has written for many of today's biggest singers, such as Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Usher, etc. But she has never had a hit herself. Her only charting song was Drop It Low, and that song was merely a top 40 hit. So, will Ester have more luck with this song? I am not sure, but it feels good to hear something new from Ester, and of course from the amazing Missy.

Pesma ce posluziti kao novi "singl prvenac" sa pevacicinog debi albuma Story Never Told. Iako je Ester odgovorna za mnoge hitove danasnjih zvezda kao sto su Rihanna, Christina Aguilera i Usher, ona nikada nije imala svoj hit. Jedina pesma koja je uspela da dostigne status Top 40 hita je njena kolaboracija sa Chris Brown-om, Drop It Low. Da li ce ova pesma uspeti da promeni stanje? Nisam siguran. Ali dobro je cuti nesto novo od Ester i od neponovljive Missy.
